No, it's basically telling you that you own a piece of garbage. Unless you are very mechanically, automatively inclined and don't mind tinkering and repairing, then go for it. Some states won't recognize a salvage title, then what? Avoid the hassle, buy a quality used vehicle, from a private owner/seller.

Not unless I owned or worked at a Vehicle salvage yard. They are sold for scrap value only and can never have the title brought back to life.

depending if it was just sheet metal damage that could be fixed cheaply most salvage yards can find the parts needed or have them and some will let you lot drive the automobile before you buy check your state title requirements
