I am interested in buying a new car... is there any room for negotiating price on a new vehicle? Obviously there isn't on a car that is really desireable... but, how much does the dealer make?

Suggestions? (There are so many new vehicles out there, it's hard to know which to focus on). I'm looking closely at Kia, Dodge, and Toyota. Any advise on new car buying would be appreciated.

This question has probably been asked a million times but I need some answers!!

My husband needs a car and I was thinking about leasing it. We already have a car that we are in the process of buying but I need info on leasing. If he had a car he wouldnt be driving as much as me (alot). Mainly to work(8 miles back and forth). Would it be better if we lease a car or buy one??? We do have many bills so we're trying to have a cheaper mouthly payment.

Looking for a used car. Money is a huge consideration. Is 4WD overrated, really? I live in the northeast, and we do get snow, but I am of the belief that a good front wheel drive car can be just as safe as a 4WD SUV. An OK driver in a 4WD is no better in the snow than a good driver in a front wheel drive. Valid?

Any recommendations for non 4WD vehicles I should be looking at?

Ok, I know you're all probably sick to death of hearing me going on about 'which car' but, I still haven't bought one and still can't decided whether to go for a Freelander or Nissan xtrail sport - So comments on this would be most welcome (preferrably one or the other). My next question is, Automatic or Manual for best fuel economy?

I want to order a new 2007 Mustang convertable, but would like to get it in a custom color. I am a seasoned negotiator when it comes to new car dealers, however, I only ever bought new cars from dealer stock. I have never actually custom ordered one with the specs I want from the factory. Is the price still as negotiable or must I pay MSRP? Also, about how long does a factory delivery take from time of order? What do I do with my trade in while the car is ordered? And finally, I love a color available in another model line (the F-150), but would like our Mustang in that color - which is not offered in the Mustang line. Is this possible? or would I be better off just getting it in a plain color, and going to a body shop to have the color I want, and take delivery from dealer stock? Thanks!!

My dad and I bought a car together a few months ago. The sales tax was paid off at that time. I was not there when he bought the car so my name is not on the title. Now we're transferring the title into my name and the DMV told me to indicate the car is a gift. Won't I have to pay gift tax on the car then? Is it better for him to sell me the car for like $100? By the way- the car is a 2006 new vehicle purchased at about $17,000.

it is 2001 Y Reg, 48000 miles, Electric hood , air con, leather, chrome pack, 17 inch alloys. Glass's guide says its worth £11600 in average condition which it is. (I got the valuation online taylored to my car for a fee) Why is it that dealers have offered me between 7k and 9k as a part x. are they trying to rip me off? Please only answer if you know the motor trade.

A few things here, which car brand is best made, and which one offers the more realistic warranty? I know Saturn has a 100,000 mile/5 year warranty and Kia's is 100,000/10 years. I'm not sure which is the better deal, let alone which car is going to last longer after the warranty is gone?
