In other words of the car breaks in half........You own both halves.

"as is" is used as a tool to hold the seller with no responsibilty as to the condition of the car. sometimes the car is junk.most times the seller just doesnt want to have to warranty any problems that might arise after the sale.this is most prevailant with older used cars.every car ive ever sold has been sold as is. they werent junk just i sold them because i couldnt afford to fix them up or just didnt want to deal with the car -ie having already replaced the car with another.

It means that if you buy the car, you take it no matter what condition it's in. They probably listed it this way because it's in really bad condition.

it means dont buy it because the person selling it isnt confident that the car will be trust worthy and they dont want to be held reliable
