I am in the market to purchase a car. My question is....do you think I should wait until the new car show is in my city and buy there? Or would I get a better "deal" going to a local car dealership? Is there a better time(for better pricing) during the month or year to purchase an automobile? Thanks!

He works at PUGI of Chicagoland (Mazda, VW, Hyundai) and I hear he is the best. Should I buy from him or just go local. He is 20 mins away more than the closer VW dealer.... which is in Orland Park. What do you think? If he is just #1 in Illinois its not such a big deal, but the #1 VW guy in America is worth driving to.

If you buy an old, pre smog requirement car, (1940), with no motor, and bring it to California, and it is otherwise all legal, can you get it transfered and licensed?

No, of course I'm not going to push it down the street, but I would like to get it all street legal and ready. I just can't afford the motor yet.

Recently I was in the market for a used COUPE MANUAL car. I told my parents I was going to buy one, but they asked me to hold off so they could maybe look into helping me buy a car and get one a bit safer perhaps. They wound up buying me a brand new 4 door automatic honda civic (2006) after I repeatedly said I would rather have a used 2 door/manual instead of a 4 dr/automatic, but they ignored htat and bought it anyways.

Now I have a new car, but I really don't like it at all. It's boring, and quite ugly being a 4 door. I have offered numerous time to either give it to my sister, let me trade it in and buy my own car, or just sell it, give them the money, and buy my own.

My parents, however, are astonished at how spoiled I'm acting. The way I see it, I spent about 6500 on the car, and they completely over-turned my preferences. They chose a diff color, transmission, and 4 door over a 2 door. Now I want to buy my own car and they are freaking out. How am I being spoiled here? I

I have a 79 Triumph Spitfire...I want to sell it.It woun't pass smog in Cali as I've upgraded the carb ... headers...and dual exhaust...

I bought a car from a buy here pay here place and only had the car for two weeks before it broke down on me. It was a lemon, which is a mistake i will learn from but anyways i returned the car and the people at the place said i must have it for six months before i can return it but just the other day they sented me a letter saying they was going to sell the car and if the amount they sell it for is more than what i paid for i will get the extra money but if it is less i will still owe money. Are they trying to pull a scam on me for more money because it is a buy here pay here place and the car lot look like crap and i pay them everyweek at this place. I just want to learn from this and move on and not have to deal with these people any more and buy a new car that have never been drove before.

Okay i bought a car from a buy here pay here car lot. To make a long story short the car was a piece of u know what. And i had only had it for 2 weeks before it broke down on me. Well i returned the car to the car lot and they just sented me a note saying they was going to sell the car. And if the amount they sell the car for is more than i paid for it. I will get the extra money but if its less i will still owe them money. Now i have heard these crooks that work at these places are out for money but i know if they sell the car to someone i should be out of my contract and wont have to deal with them anymore.
