The procedures are generally the same regardless of where you buy the car. Some states require out of state titles to be notarized even if in-state titles don't need to be. Check with your local DMV office on that.

If you buy a new car out of Washington, the state does not allow you normal lemon law rights. So since they have that odd rule, i would certainly check with the DMV on any other ones for used

Also, should you really buy a car without having it inspected or driving it first? Good Luck

If you purchase a automobile in a state that has no earnings tax, you'll must pay the whole tax quantity whilst you sign up it in our state. If the state you purchase the automobile in has earnings tax slash than your state, you'll pay the earnings tax plus pay the change on your state whilst you sign up it (for illustration if you are going to buy a automobile in a state with four% and your state is 6% you'll pay the four% within the state in which you purchase the automobile after which pay a different two% whilst you sign up the automobile on your state. Your state gets the opposite four% from the opposite state). If the tax within the different state is better than your state, you'll pay the whole tax quantity however is also entitled to a reimbursement of the change out of your state. Cars can also be inexpensive in different states if the transportation charges are slash or if the opposite states permit for rebates or certain offers that your state does no longer.

We bought 2 vehicles off eBay. We're in MD, the cars were in NY and NJ. Once we drove up, and drove back in seperate vehicles, the other trip was by train, and we drove the vehicle back. We were risky, and didn't have the temporary tag for the drive back. DMV in our state registered our vehicles with the proper tags.

You shouldn't have a problem. You might need to have it inspected for smog and safety.

You will have to contact the DMV in WA and bring the title and have it retitled in your state.
