You sell them to each other. Even if you don't exchange any cash, TX will now charge the sales tax (on private sales) based on the blue book value. It's actually about 80% of book value adjusted for mileage but you get the picture -- no more freebies from the State of Texas.

In most states that I know about you sign over the title and you both go re-title and tag the vehicles in your names

You will have to change titles and license plates through the DMV. Replace on your auto insurance the car.

Your going to have to sell them to each other. Because, guess what, your state is going to want to collect taxes.
