you should have got the that from the previous owner? if not, you need to go to the post office ask for a form for a new log book (sorry cant rem what its called!) send a cheque off to the DVLA for £17 and you'll get a new log book in 4-6 weeks

Obtain a form V62(vehicle registration application) from your local Post Office after completion send it to the DVLA - it's now called a Registration Document as opposed to a log book, it will take about 7-10 days to arrive with your details on it

Is this to keep track of your mileage, gas, etc? If so, you can pick up a log book at most stationery stores like Staples or Office Depot.
