on 11/4 I purchased a vehichle from a used car dealer. I used my prior vehichle as a trade in and was given enough trade allowance to provide a decent down payment. The sales person and I had to fed ex contracts back and forth for various reasons, and by the time we did the final contract(1/5/2007), I abruptly lost my job(1/9) .Now the company that had the the financing will not go through with the loan. Now the lady is telling me that I not only have to return the vehichle, but shes also telling me that I must pay the "negitive equity" from the trade that was supposed to be my down payment. If they gave me xx,xxx.xx$ for my truck, &x,xxx.xx went to pay off the existing loan for that truck, the $x,xxx.xx remaining should be returned to me if they cant put in me in a new vehicle, Correct? Im feeling a little pushed around and would like to get some idea of whats up before I head to the family law office.

I wonder can you pay off a car loan early than the length of contract without any problems like a surcharge or penalty. For example If I get a 48 month term finance on a truck and I make like around less then a 1000 a month (got my parents to co-sign). and later on I get a better job which pay 2K-3K a month and I want to pay off the truck early, will I get any kind of penalty?

my credit is lower then 450, but I'm gonna put $4,000 down, I make $2,010 a month but I've only been working there for 6 months? And FYI my credit is low because of my age (under 21 over 18)...not because I'm in debt. If I do need a co-signer...how good does thier credit have to be? in th 500's or 600's?
Thanks in advance for all of your helpful responses!

My bf is a salesman and we both work for a reputable dealership that is not at all dishonest or does anything illegal...

So why do people have the image that all salesmen are bad and sneaky? Is it from bad experiences or do you just pick up that "bad salesman" image somewhere?

I am planning to buy a 2000 Ford mustang with 105000 miles on it, There is an engine check light on it but the owner tells me it is a small problem with the hydrogen pump sensor which I am not sure. Can anyone tell me whether is it okay to buy a 2000 ford mustang with so many miles on it and how long does an average mustang last.

I used to love watching the classic cars that were sold.. a few years ago it seemed like a fair place to purchase a car. Now it is a circus- the cars are going for up to 60% more than they would get on the market. Anytime it slows up you get Craig Jackson grabing the microphone and pumping up the crowd with hype.. Loved watching the Von Dutch bus go for only 40K... the expressions on the B-J staff said it all.

We owe $2880 for the car, payment has been made, late once, they came and took the car because the "deadline" for the car to be paid off passed. That date was supposedly in Dec. Can this happen? I do not see these terms in the purchase agreement, did I miss something?
