To be fair, as long as you stick to a decent brand you won't go far wrong. The basic models from Sony, Kenwood, Panasonic etc lack some functions that you may see on the flashier imported things you see on ebay, but they'll last ten times longer and sound better.

Generally speaking, you're looking for a power output of not less than 4x35 watts (most are 50 these days anyway), MP3 compatibilty is useful if you have an MP3 collection, and some sort of sound adjustment (bass, treble and fade) is all you need.

Steer well clear of anything like maystar, goodmans, or stuff shipped from japan off ebay.

I like panasonics entry level units, as they feature two big dials which are a piece of cake to use and sound just as good as much more expensive units.

Unless you're an audio nut or you have money to burn, there's little point in spending more than about £100 to £130. Look in the january sales and you'll easily get a good one for that money.

There are quite a few agencies that make an similar product. some are slightly extra useful and slightly extra severe priced. ask your self those questions first: a million. Do i opt for satellite tv for pc radio? in case you do, that narrows the sphere. 2. Do i opt for to hearken to severe-Definition (HD) radio? it truly is new technologies that permits you to hearken to new radio stations in cd high quality sound, if there are HD stations on your section. 3. do you opt for to hearken to you MP3 participant or I-Pod in the motor vehicle. Many stereos now have jack the position you could plug your participant ideal into the stereo. once you've determined the coolest factors you opt for, i propose going to BestBuy or Circuit city and performance them educate you stereos that meet your criteria. i'd bypass with the Alpine type if it did all that i wanted it to do. Sony might want to be a 2d selection.
