Whenever I let off the brakes they hiss for about 15 seconds and it gradually fades. It doesn't matter if I'm doing 60 and I tap the breaks or if I'm taking off from a dead stop, they hiss. If I barely press the brake pedal it stops, but will resume as soon as I let my foot off again. It's really loud and just started this morning. What could it be?
(It's a 2003 Navigator if that makes a difference)

For Example, nothing appears when you are in reverse; when your in neutral it says reverse; when you are in overdrive it says neutral; drive --> overdrive; 2-->drive; 1-->2!!!
This is so confusing and oftentimes I almost blow the transmission out of it before I realize. How do you fix this?????

You know how they have all those water landing safety features in jet airliners? I wanted to know, if a jet crash lands in water, won't it just break apart and most likely kill everyone on the jet? So are all those safety features just there to make people feel safe while flying over the ocean? Sorry if I offended anyone, I just wanted to know.

If its made of canvas, it may not be the best option to buy on the new jeep here in Illinois. Is it more for warm weather area's? Whats it made of? It looks like tent fabric. Would you get it on your jeep if you were buying one?

It is called a mud boat. They were made long ago, mostly out of wood and used in the marshes of Louisiana. The engine had a shaft that went through a stuffing box, and on the end of the shaft, under the boat, was a propeller.

I'm just getting into riding and want to get a first bike. Small one. Lightweight and easy to ride.

I like cruisers but I REALLY like the cafe racer style. What bikes that are small displacement / low seat height that can be converted or already 'there' to be a cafe racer? I even like the styling of old Honda's but not sure if a vintage bike would be a good starter bike since they have older technology and handling...

any advice?

WE PULLED OVER, AND THE WHOLE TIME HE TOLD ME DONT CALL THE COPS! SO I DIDNT BUT, WE AGREED THAT HE WAS GOING TO PAY ME CASH FOR THE DAMAGES. WE CALLED A COUPLE PLACES AND GOT ESTIMATES, AND THEY ALL AVERAGED AROUND 500 DOLLARS-600 DOLLARS. I DIDNT CALL THE COPS BUT ONE OF THE WITNESSES ON THE ROAD DID, AND WHEN THE COP GOT THERE I TOLD HIM WHAT HAPPENED...SO AFTER THEY TOWED THE GUYS CAR AWAY AND THE POLICE TOOK THE REPORT, I WAS NEGOTIATING WITH THE GUY. HE TOLD ME HE WAS GOING TO GIVE ME 250 DOLLARS NOW, THERE ON THE SPOT, AND HE WAS GONNA GIVE ME ANOTHER 300 DOLLARS BY 3PM (THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED AT NOON), SO I SAID OK, BUT SINCE THEY TOOK HIS CAR HE WOULD NEED MORE TIME, SO I GAVE HIM TILL WEDNESDAY, 2 DAYS AFTER. IT IS NOW TUESDAY, I HAVE NECK PAIN AND I DEPOSITED THE 250 DOLLARS TO THE BANK TO KEEP A RECORD OF IT. WHAT DO I DO IF THE GUY DOESNT CALL ME WITH THE REST OF THE $$? WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS? My wife mistakenly filled 3/4 diesel, into a 1/4 gas, and drove 10 miles before stopping. The car has been to the Toyota service center 5 times, and each time returned saying the problem was fixed. However, there was always some problem.

They now say that the engine needs to be replaced, because the diesel burned out the rings in the cylinders, and leaked onto the small block. Cost: $10K

So, my questions are:
1. I know people to whom this has happened before, with different cars, and the result was never so drastic. A couple thousand $ only. Not 10K. So, is this possible? Can diesel do this?
2. The Toyota service center always returned the car to me stating, "the work is warranted for 1 year." Does this mean they guarantee the problem won't come back? Can this cover the cost?
3. Is it possible that they caused this problem by not performing due diligence up front? We only drove it 10 miles with diesel, but they drove over 100 miles to diagnose over the various servicings.

I took out a so called "performance chip" and shortly there after the car started to have... air flow problems? maybe? When i'm moving above like 7mph, the car has a low beep, that stops after i drive for maybe 10 min without stopping, and starts again if the car comes to a stop. Also when i'm moving and i clutch in, the RPMs dip to maybe 650 and stay there til i come to a complete stop and they return to the normal 800 or so. WTF?

the boat doesnt have to be made out of fancy stuff. just like things u can get at the store.
they're gonna have a race with them on friday so it cant be that heavy. but not that light. they're supposed to be able to blow on them to make them be able to move.
