I just bought a 1970 Chev Nova that claims to have 330 hp at the wheels. Is this pretty close to stock hp for the original car? It has a rebuilt 350 in it with many after market parts. I havn't driven it yet as I bought it from ebay. I'm just wondering if I should expect some pretty good get up and go from it. Thx

I have an interesting situation. Someone is offering a frame for sale because they are going to use the engine for a chopper. I happen to know for a fact that Texas pays no mind to an engine, just the frame number. However, I believe the other person is convinced that they need to keep the title for proof of ownership on the engine. What should we do. The DMV is closed all weekend. Not sure I can convince him of the law. Does anyone have any web sites to illustrate this for him?

My car is a 2003 Eclipse and has a serious vibration at 50mph and higher. The vibration is very noticable in the steering wheel but can be felt anywhere in the car. I thought I had a tire out of balance but that didn't help. I had the tires road forced balanced and that only helped slightly. A dealership said that I had bent rims and replacing them would fix it. Nope, I did that and it didn't help at all. I was then told my feul injectors may be clogged and I am running cleaner through them now but no results yet. What do you think it could be? The suspension, struts, bearings, tie rods, motor mounts, mis-firing cylinders? Any feedback would be greatly appriciated. Thanks

Or should I have Raul shift into park.

I want the car to stop, but I am concerned if the air bags will deploy. I don't want to have to replace them.

I got some coolant in my engine when my throttle body gasket got a leak, maybe two or three cups got in. It blew white smoke, so I changed the oil. After driving it a little and letting it Idle the smoke stopped but there is a horrible mis-fire. There is also a loud high pithc squealing noise. Did I damage a spark plug, or bend a rod? Not sure what to think.

Last time I had my oil changed they told me that i needed both services but I declined and decided to research it. I now see that there are drains and flushes, some say that a flush is neccesary, some say that they have practically the same effect and others say not to flush just to drain. Does anyone know what the truth is, in particular for my car? Thanks!

I found out one eHow.com it says, "Buying gas in the morning or evening, when the temperature is cooler, will help you save money. When gas is hot, it expands, and since it is sold by volume, not density, you will get more for your money." Is it true? Has anyone experienced significant mileage increasing by using this method?

I find it interesting that I know half of people who buy used cars and know how to bargain, the other half buys new cars with nothing down and brags about their deal.

After watching Dave Ramsey's video on 'free cars', I am wondering how true it is that people who buy new cars take out a 6 year loan, and switch to a new car as soon as it's paid off. It sounds a little exaggerated to me. Forget the part where Dave talks about investing here and there, I just wanna know, for people who buy new cars, how long do they (or plan to) keep the car?

I have a 1993 ford e150 van with a 302 engine. It seems that after hour or so driving in real hot weather coming from work (traffic/temp 100 degrees) that van feels like it is going to stall, runs like it is running out of gas. Usually can stop for few minutes and starts right up and sometimes no problem and sometimes still feels like out of gas and runs rough, next day in morning starts right up and no problem driving 40 miles to work. Seems related to when it is real hot, temp gauge reads normal, could it be vapor lock or some sensor? Check engine came on once when was running rough but after got up to speed it went out. Any ideas, already changed fuel filter, seemed like that helped but like I said only happens on way home from work after hour of being in traffic do symptoms appear, otherwise runs good everday to from work
Thanks for any help you can offer.

I've read alot about spray on primers that you don't even need to sand the surface, all you need to do is spray it directly on the surface of the rust and it is supposed to chemically change the rust to prevent it from spreading, how should I go about preventing this?

So heres the story. I recently got new tires for my 2000 camaro from firestone. When I return to get my car they tell me I need a new lugnut for each tire because the ones I have are worn out. So I have to be at work in like a hour so I want to get everything done so I rush to autozone really quick to get the lugnuts. I go to my house to put the lugnuts on and I notice both of my front fenders are kinda warped or crooked and one is even cracked where they raised it up. Ive showed them pictures of what it looked like before I brought it to them even. One minute they say they didn't do it and now we told them to fix it or we take it to court and they said they would pay for it to be fixed and they said they would have someone come give us and estimate on it. Still no word from them since they told us they was going to fix it what should I do?

I'm thinking along the lines of a Piaggio Fly 150. If they can't, how are you supposed to back them out of parking spots or whatnot? By walking them out, or what?

Thank you.

2004 Acura TL with one owner (per Carfax) and 32,000 miles for $24,523. That price is everything - title, plates, whatever else goes into it.

I'm a bit worried because the brakes seemed a bit shaky and the transmission seemed harsh when shifting (as in when I floored it). But everyone says these cars are very reliable. I get balance of manufacturers warranty and the certified 7 yr/100,000 mile warranty. I'll pay about $450 over 72 months.

What do you think the best looking car ever made is? I'm torn between an Aston Martin DB9 and a Rolls Royce Phantom. There are too many good looking cars out, you must agree. So I'm asking the people of Yahoo Answers to tell me in their opinion what car they think is the best looking?
