a couple of times I even had to wiggle the wire to get it to start. I ended up replacing the battery because my car would not start at all, but when I replaced it with a new one the light still flashed. Could it be my alternator???

I'm cleaning out a closet and came across two 12 oz. cans of gas line anti-freeze that could be 20-40 years old. Cans look brand new.

Treat as hazardous waste, or put into my trucks fuel tank?

Thanks.

When we turn on the water we have good pressure for about 10 seconds then it slowly loses flow and pressure almost down to nothing. We checked all the valves and they were turned on.

We think this might be an inline filter that has clogged. Is this possible?

(Copy and paste into address bar if link doesn't work)

The valve in the picture is leaking too.

What other explanations could there be?

Is there a highway code for them to follow and abide to, as we have in the UK?? A vehicle can be a "killing machine" so needs are such that drivers need to be aware of this fact. Also what is the legal driving age in this country?

aside from the obvious 'roll down your window, turn on the vent, fix your AC,' ect.. what do you do to keep cool?

I just rented a rug doctor, wich worked wonders for a friend of mine, but isn't impressing me too much... my high trafic areas still look terrible and the directions say not to go over the same spot twice unless I let it dry first. I used the pretreatment spray and the cleaning solution... and it still isn't working with just two passes. Is there anything I can do??

I own a 2003 Maxima which currently has 47,000 miles on it. In the 4 years that I've had it, I've averaged about 7,000 per year. However, I just got a new job and will now be increasing that average to about 30,000 per year. I am strongly considering switching to synthetic oil. So my questions are:

1) How will the switch affect my car considering the amount of miles it has on it?
2) Realistically, given my driving distance, how often could and should I change it?
3) Are there any other maintenance aspects required for using synthetic oil, besides those required for regular oil?

If there's any other advice or useful info you guys could lend, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Lately, I've noticed this as I drive on the highway from day to day. Usually around noon, under the bright, sweltering sun, people driving on the highway will keep their headlights on. It couldn't possibly be done to SAVE energy nor do they need an extra 4 feet of light since light is virtually everywhere during this time. This has bothered me for quite some time. Does anyone have a rational explanation for this?

I recently bought a 2003 Toyota Corolla and I am planning to tune it up, one by putting on a catback exhaust. If anyone of you can tell me how to remove the full exhaust and/how to put on a new one would be great. Any links to other websites would be great to. Thanks

personally, I drive a Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder, that is nothing but cute. Imagine a 58 year old granny with platinum blonde hair sporting around town in a classy convertible . . . What a blast to blow her out! I hit 120 on the expressway in Texas when a semi was bearing down on me! The look on the truck driver's face was perfect! ;>) By her, I mean the car!

Is it true that in order to find out which side of the car your gas tank is on while sitting in the car just look at your gas guage. Just look at the little gas pump shown next to your gas guage inside your car and it will have a little arrow on either the left side of the little gas pump or right side of the gas pump which the arrow is showing you which side of the car the gas tank is on. Is this true? I don't have this feature in my car and was just curious. Thanks
