Ford F-150 Pickup is the best for the money, i think it is very roomy and fun to drive. plus if you want to just drive it on the street, get the v-6 2 wheel drive, better fuel mileage. People have their own opinions on this subject, but the Toyota that was mentioned, I have seen how they are built, and everything it takes to work on them, toyota is an expensive, junk vehicle, i would recommend against them.

Forget it. Toyota replacement parts are absolutely absurd. Price a starter, alternator, transmission or any darn mantenance part. The average is 50 -60% more than an on-shore owned company. If they are so reliable why doesen't their warranty match GM, Ford or Chrysler?
Read all the truck tests you can lay your hands on. - Motor Trend, Car and Driver are a couple. Toyota does not have automatic traction control on their four wheel drive trucks. The new Tundra has belt driven camshafts. Any idea what that means? Big bucks to replace just as the warranty craps the bed. Every magazine I've laid my hands still says Toyota has to prove its overall performance before thay can be "king of the aunt hill" They have no diesel.

Say what you mean, a pickup truck. A truck is like a Peterbuilt or Freightliner, etc. What type pickup is best depends on what the end user wants and desires. There is no "one type fits all" in any of the industry. This is why there are so many different makes and models.

I prefer chevys myself, have a 95 Z-71 ext cab 4x4, have 255,000 + miles on it now, still running great, just have done the normal replacement of wear and tear items, been a great truck, will own another if and when i decide to get rid of this one. I still get 16 mpg on the highway and around 13 in town. i know guys with newer dodges and fords that dont even have 50,000 miles on them yet and dont get that good of milage.....

Go with an F150. I have a Bronco and a toy , I like the roominess, comfort, and power over the Toy. The Toyota doesn't get that much better mileage, parts are more exspensive for the Toy also.

Trucks fun to drive. You have got to be kidding. How can you consider something that is slow, has poor ride and handling, can't stop and just not generally safe period a fun ride?In the work place they have there place. Everyday transportation,no way.P.S. Toyota's suck.
