Just try to get a job at a company that does local deliveries. There isn't a lot of money in long haul and you're gone all the time.
Also try to work at a company with spell check on all of their computers. Just a thought.

You might have to start out small, work for a local company and then work your way up, or if you can afford to, buy your own and be an independant driver.
Congrats on the cdl

My idea of a good company and yours may not be the same thing. My advice to you is sit down and figure out what you want out of the job. Then talk to recruiters and find who can and will offer you closest to what you want. (local work, home weekends, over the road, regional, or whatever)
After you get that information, and narrow down your search, try to talk to drivers from that, of those companies, and ask them how they like the company. From this, you should find a company that is good for you.
I know of several "good" trucking companies, but I won't drive for them, because they do not match my wants and goals.
