this sounds like more of a rant then anything else, and first off americas biggest mistake was using bailout money to research the zr1 and other frivolous things instead of improving the current lineup and improving quality that they can make more money on and use the bailout more effectively personally id buy american cars if they actually were reliable and didnt fall apart after 60,000 miles i think ford is doing a great job with the fusion and they have pretty good reliability ratings, and chrysler is still pathetic at the moment ill take my chances with a car that had maybe 100 claimed and not proven instances of the gas pedal sticking, out of millions of cars and also the ford 5.4 triton motor is a joke and so is the 4.6 in the crown vics that blew plugs out of the head consistantly, thats a big screw up and a pretty big flaw to me and if the unions didnt make the workers lazy at american assembly plants through job security, they might have better quality almost everything is imported now and barely anything is made in the us anymore, if american companies want my business, they better get higher quality

The "tank" is usually centered between the sides. The filler may be on either side or on some (mainly old Mustangs) located in the center rear. As to the gauge marking for the side the filler is on, some cars have it and some don't.

why don't you just get out of your car and WALK around it. to find it yourself, but only if you're trying to find the gas-intake because the actual tank is in the middle of the car underneath and behind the rear seats.

My Chevy has that little arrow. I love it. You can get the same effect with a sharpie pen and a piece of tape.

Most newer cars have this nice little reminder. You can take a piece of bright colored tape and make one yourself for your car.

On newer vehicles. Both my '93 escort and '04 sable have it. As did the impala rental I had the other week. Good thing, cause they keep switching on me.

Sure, it's in some models, and that is true for those cars. It's not true for all cars, as you know.
