bad front brakes kill 80% of the time
bad rear only 20 % but your just as dead, sorry.
i dont believe in loans but brakes, hey go for it.
good day
ps:
there is an alternate answer:
one 1 end fails, the other end does 100% of the braking.
if the front fails, the rears just skid and smoke all the way to the death scene.
however some volvos use cross over brakes,
like crossover bra, they lift and seperatee... i diverge, had a hot date just last night.

You need them both! The car is designed to stop using the brakes on all four wheels. If either the front or back are not working, the car is not safe to drive!

i would agree with everyone else and say the front ones too. not only is that my experience but i have friends who work on cars for a living and one of them once said that same thing to me. unless the front ones are in much better shape than the rear ones, i suppose, in which case you need to get the worst ones fixed first.

70-80% of stopping power is supplied through the front brakes.

Front. no question. You SHOULD fix all of them.. but the front wheels do 75% of the braking.
