no gas is being pumped to my fuel injectors, i took a look at my gas tank and I see there is a hose that is missing a clamp to clamp it tight to another pipe. can this affect the fuel tank pressure? or the fuel pump?

I took my 1996, Honda Accord LX (115,000 miles) into the local Honda dealership for a regular oil change when they advised me to get my Splark Plug Tube Seals and my Distributor O-Ring replaced completely because there was A LOT of oil around my spark plugs. They showed it to me and when they pulled them out they were dripping a lot of oil. They said it was defintely not a good thing at all and it needed to be fixed within a few days or it would ruin my car. IS IT THAT URGENT???? I have someone who can replace them for a fourth of the cost but not until this weekend. I just need to know if this situation needs to be treated immediately!

I was just wondering, In Florida, if a 17 year old male, who has had a license for less than a year, drives his parents car without being insured himself and his parents know and are ok with it. What are the chances that cops will pull you over just to make sure everything is legit, even though you didn't do anything wrong (I heard this happens with teens). And what are the consequences if you did get caught?

Can a dealership make a customer take a car with just a signed lease agreement and no other papers signed? If the car is not the color the customer ordered (interior)? Are they allowed to deliver a car to someone's home without their permission and if the person does not have keys to the car? What is the law as it pertains to not wanting to lease the car after the agreement has been signed? SERIOUS REPLIES ONLY.

I hit a 2001 honda civic. There is a little dent probably about 2 inches wide and one inch across and about 1/3 of an inch deep. You can't see it from far, but it is visible up close. Anyone knows about how much I can expect to pay?

I have a '07 BMW 335i sedan. Today for some reason, the engine light came on and the car was slowing down to a halt as if there was no power left and shook violently. I immediately stopped the car and called BMW who called a tow truck to get me. When the tow truck came and I re-started the engine, the light disappeared and nothing was wrong. It was as if nothing happened. I am scared and dont know what to do from here since BMW says that there isnt a problem and since the light disappeared they have no way of checking or diagnosing the problem. Should I be worried? Should I keep pressing them to check the car out?
Please help BMW owners and car experts..... have any of you guys experienced the same problem? do you guys know anything that Im not aware of.

The exterior is nice although the interior does need a little elbow grease. The dashboard is not cracked but fairly faded and inside panel were previously spray painted black and there’s a lot of cracks in the panels, I would assume he installed something that he was tugging at the panels to cause cracks and breaks. Well finally would anybody know were I could purchase all the stock door panels and panels for the car and possibly a stock dashboard nothing sporty raced out just want to keep it original so if you can help it would really be appreciated thanks.

I am currently stationed in Ohio and leaving for overseas within the next month. The date my vehicle re-registration is due is September....and I will not be back in the states until next October. Should I re-register for two years since I will not be back in the states on time the following year? I'm not sure if that is a good idea since I will not be returning to Ohio. I plan on putting my car in storage while overseas & don't particularly see the point in re-registering but I have been told that I must have my car registered since it is financed through my bank. If somebody could clarify that for me, that would be great. Also, since my car is financed, do I have to have full coverage insurance since it will be in storage or can I just get by with comprehensive?

my father's engine (think evenrude 25HP) decided not to start while out on the water so he had to pull the case off and pullstart it to get back to the pier. after coming home it still wouldnt start and we couldnt get it to start with the ripcord either from once the engine was cold.

checked battery - ok

when he turns the key we were hearing a rapid click sound but the starter didnt shoot up or turn. he figured it was the starter.

my uncle came over and wanted to try something so he hotwired the starter directly with some jumper cables and it started up right away twice. so they decided it must be the solenoid.

but after that my father tried the key again for the hell of it and now that works fine, the thing just instantly starts. we are wondering what it could be because he is saying he will take it out on the water again if it continues to work but wanted to get the extra part if he could figure out what it was that was causing the problem.

any idea?

I just bought an old 74' honda cb 360 to learn about bikes and how they run. I'm learning but am stuck on one problem. I bought the bike with a hole in one of the exhaust pipes because of rust. I know the scavenging process may be lacking because of this but the first day I rode it I hit 75mph without issue. My basic question is what can cause top speed lag?
Secondly, since I bought it I accidentally put reg. gas in it instead of the necessary premium. Obviously it ran very poorly and wouldn't shift into gear without dying. Second question, Since puting the good stuff back in, in my case, did that do something to cost me power? Thanks.

Last time this happened, I went to a Sears Auto Center to change the battery. I'm just wondering where else I could go. I admire you if you do it yourself because "do it yourself" is not in my dictionary. So where would you bring your car to change the battery? I'm living in Silicon Valley, California.

my friend brought up this idea for me to do to my 1987 monte SS big block 350

boar it over 30, so it will be a 380
add a 4 barrel
add 2 superchargers
and set up a dual carborator system

he suggests that it will make the car more powerful, and add to its top speed and acceleration

i'm wondering if this is true, and what will it do to the gas milage? and if there are any downsides to this?
