Iv recently passed my driving test in a renualt clio mrk 2 diesel and just purchased myself a ford KA 2 petrol. I took the car for a test drive and was finding it hard to find the bit point in which i stalled a few times. Can someone tell me, is there a great difference in driving a petrol car to a diesel car?

Am i going to find this hard to get use to??

I bought a 1987 Ranger Pickup with a 2.3L 4 banger. Has leaky rear main seal and very low compression. I bought a used 1992 Ranger 2.3L 4 cylinder. My intention was to strip the head and all the coilpac ignition and use the short block to replace my VERY leaky 1987 2.3. A friend of mine said, "Why don't you use the '92 engine as is. Run it with 4 plugs and leave the other ones alone. Remove the coilpac ignition and stick your old distributor in the hole where the dist is supposed to go and use your old coil. The oilpump is driven off the balance shaft and pump is still there." This is quite the idea...but...will it work? Has anyone out there tried it?
If this won't work and I have to strip the new ('92) block will I have to use new head bolts. The modified mini racecar drivers at our local dirt track say I can use the old bolts...but they have trouble with head gaskets sometimes. I won't be running that fast or furious. Any help?

My car's engine has recently begun to smell stinkily of rotten eggs. It's a 2000 Toyota Echo, has never had any major mechanical issues, and I drive around 550 miles a month, and use the lowest grade of gas. What causes this and is it expensive to fix? Could upgrading to better gas help?

I have a 1988 Tracer. Four dash lights are on but the things they indicate are working fine.

Low Fuel - Car has a half a tank of gas according to the gas gauge
Low Washer Fluid - Windshield washers work fine and plently of fluid
Battery - Car starts fine and gauge indicates it is charging
Brake - Brakes work fine and brake lights are working

Any ideas on what would case these lights to come on when all the systems they indicate are working properly?

We checked the manual and it looks like all of these run of different fuses.

Any clues?
