Looks like a great buy. IF: if you've had it surveyed or inspected by somebody that knows what to look for, as to that hull and other things. If you are comepetent at such inspections and have deemed the boat worthy, then you might not be here asking this question.
Have it looked at by an expert--it's a good expenditure.

But If I were a sailor instead of an outboard river rat, I'd snap that baby up. But only after I'd had it inspected.

I like older boats as they different from most of the other boats. Kinda like cars, there are many 2005 models everywhere, buy one and it just the norm and no one really notice. But, ride around in a 1961-1962 Avanti and you will turns some heads.

So, if the boat looks to be in good shape. You may have something that unique on the water and not just another run of the mill see it everywhere boat. ;-)

My boat is an MSI and it's like new, that's the way to keep a good boat. I wouldn't trade it with these new aluminum jobs I see on the big lake. They bob up and down, everyone is hanging their heads over the side puking, they can't be controlled in rough water.

I wash and clean my boat one hour for every hour in the lake. It gets polished all the time, is always covered. I know it isn't worth much anymore but, it's my boat. Oh! it's 23 years old and, like new.

not enouggh info to decide. saltwater, freshwater, engine hours, what was rebuilt?. never buy a used boat without getting it surveyed by a professional. the cost of the survey could save you big bucks.

Certainly worth thinking about. If all the maintenance records check out, not too much risk at that price.
