I have a xantia and the sport and frost light keep flashing together and then the car wont move. It revs really high but I dont go anywhere. Could it be that the automatic gearbox is low on oil? It is due for mot this week sp i need to know if its worth fixing. anybody have any ideas??

It also snatches when it changes gear.

Tyres are all the same-virtually brand new when i had the car a couple of months ago. It is T reg and done 130.000 miles

you could have an engine management problem,it needs to go on diagnostics to find problem main dealer can resolve and will be cheaper in the long run.

Are all four wheels the same size? Do you have a button to turn off the traction control? Different size tires can cause the brakes to applie and Traction Lights to flash. It would not hurt to check the fluids and add ATF if necessary. Year and miles would help.

Check the oil level see what happens
