yep, unfortunately it sounds like your transmission is slipping. Hopefully it's still under warranty because transmissions aren't cheap and neither is labor to fix it. call your mechanic asap.

it is a transmission issue.
it sounds like it is in limp back mode. if it doesn't accelerate from stop normally, then it is locked into 2nd gear - limp back mode.
computer detected a tranny issue and set that mode.
mechanics love those 4 speed Chrysler tannies.
figure on at least $1500.

push the clutch in and knock that monster into second gear,and hold on. repeat as needed.
