I am currently under my parent's auto insurance policy. However, I just bought a brand new car, and I want to buy insurance for my car at a different auto insurance place. Now, if I do buy insurance at a different auto insurance place for my brand new car, can I still drive my parent's cars?

Yes you can. Most companies have a clause that states that anyone with the Insured's permission can drive their vehicles.

So you'll be fine.

Good Luck!

Basically yes. most vehicle policies state that anyone over age 21 is covered to drive the vehicle if they have permission of the owner. This assumes that the temp driver does not have regular access to the vehicle. Otherwise they have to be listed as a part time driver (like you are now).

Check the restrictions on your parents policy. Some do list no other drivers (for lower rates).

If you shop around and compare quotes, you can save a good amount of money.
when i got my first policy i was just so anxious that I just used whatever my parents had.
The comparison sites are the easiest way to get quotes fast, and i wish I did this at first.
