There are a couple of dents and a deep scratch. I eventually want to get a body kit. Should I get a new bumper now or get the body kit done? What are the price differences??

I've been having problems with my car engine (a 1974 renault engine). So far, the distributor has been removed and replaced (hopefully correctly in line with cylinder 1 begin TDC), condensor been replaced, new distributor cap.

However, now when I attempt to start the car it turns over and 'tries' to start as there is the definite sound of combustion in the engine, but the momentium isn't there for it to fire up completely.

I'm hoping this is just a warn battery issue (it is charging now), but failing this any other ideas?

Could the distributor been mounted incorrectly (I spend ages hooking this up and it seems correct now).

Any answers gratefully received.

How does an alarm system from Honda Odyssey EX work? The reason I ask is that the spec said that it came with an alarm but when I go to the dealer, they are telling me that the manufacturer installed system is only basic and is recommending that I upgrade to a KARR system.

Thanks!

So my car has broken down for the third time in two years and unfortunately i cant fix it this time. My teeth from my defense broke and now its ganna cost me around 1400 to get it fix. I have 3 options and am open for suggestions. 1.pay to get it fix but then that means that i've already spend over 5000 in just fixing my car. 2. trade it in as is, but how much will a dealership penalize me for giving it in like that, but my back up plan for that was to also give 1000 down. Will that be a good ideal. 3. Wait for my friend to have time to help me fix he has the tools but it still ganna cost me around 900 for the parts.

Ok, I have a 2 door, 2007 chevy cobalt. On my small back window, it looks like a rock has hit it, and it is shattered, but still in the frame. How much do you think this would cost?

I've noticed a strange noise when driving my car, it sounds like a low pitched squeak, kinda off and on rapidly, the speed increases depending on the speed of the car.
The noise occurs when:

- I let off the accelerator completely
- I depress the clutch

The noise doesn't occur when the car is stopped, even if the engine is revved.

Anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

My husband and I are a 2 car family and we bought a new Volks Wagen a few months ago, because our family is expanding. Our second car is a 2002 Camaro that would be desirable in the area we live. We are now relocating out of the country and we would like to become a single car family, would the dealership beable to take our camarro, pay it off and put some money towards our Volks Wagen?

I have had three different alternators in my 91 Toyota Corolla in the last 6 months. The way my stereo is wired it bypasses the constant power wire and goes directly to my battery. For some reason there is no power in the constant power wire.

My husband and I are financially strapped our car notes are $600 ea. Both are under my credit. He already has a repo I don't. We want to buy a house. How will turning in one car affect my credit and our future plans to buy a home? Would it be a set back or is it better to wait till I have my baby (approx. 6 mo.) and go back to work?

This question and post applies to anyone who either owns or has driven a 2004 or newer Nissan Maxima with similar problems as I've reported:

Has anyone experienced a front end shimmy in a 2004 or newer Nissan Maxima? I have put my 2004 Nissan Maxima in the shop numerous times for the front end shimmy and its one thing after another, as far as excuses and repairs go. New Tires, Struts, Rims, Bearings, still there is a shimmy.

I am currently suing the dealership and Nissan Corp. for failure to repair, dealer fraud, deception, and am also pursuing a class action suit against Nissan due to several other reported cases of this exact problem. Have any owners gone through with a Lemon Law Suit or a Magnusson Moss Warranty Protection Act claim?

Has anyone dealt with such/similar issues?

I have a car that's basically junk and has been in the shop 3 times in last 7 months. I still owe $3000 on this car, but I don't want it anymore. Can I trade this car for a different car and just add the balance I owe for the junk car to the new car?
