I am baffeled I just replaced the heads on my 2000 Grand Prix and one cylinder on the end has zero compression, even when wet with oil, I removed the heads again sent them to the head shop got them reinstalled and the cylinder still has no compression, also there is no blow by out of the oil fill cap area, this thing starts but looks like it missing on at least 2 or 3 cylinders, the original problem was water in the oil - cracke dhead wa culpurt

My 350 Mercruiser is over heating, everything is new including all pumps. I do not have a thremostat in place but cars run cooler with out them. If my thermostat is the problem why? Also once I start it it steadly climbes to temps that are very high.

Do you think that a thermostat makes that much diffrence in boats please explain why or possible salutions. Thanks in advance.

O.K. So now I have your attention. Should I trade in my old bike and buy a new H-D so that I can be a rebel and individualistic like the rest of the current owners/buyers? I remember a time when owning a Harley was something more than an expensive toy. It meant that you rode and you rode seriously. God how I miss those days! Yep, I'm a dinosaur.

The manufacturer gave these bs instructions that you can do yourself, while all that may be true i dont have ANY electrical knowledge. the sad part is if no one can help i'll be out 400 dollars, that is what the service dept will charge me. the kit also brings a remote control that is separate from the kit.

Alright i'll be more open minded. Before I was like no cars but american, but now i'll be opened to american and european cars. I want something that stands out. I don't want any girly cars. Or small wimpy looking ones. No asian car companies. Something that looks good, with just decent mpg. I know the good cars won't have great mpg. Just something that isn't too terrible. my range is from free- like 24,000 bucks.

Is it possible that if you stood in the road on railroad tracks and a train hit you, you might just be badly injured, but still survive? Or is it guaranteed that you'd die?

Just needed a little help in increasing the performance on my car. I've been looking at the warpspeed y-pipes as my first upgrade in speed but don't know what after that. What else will give me a pretty good hp gain that won't really sacrifice my mpg which isn't that good to start with. I've got a link on ebay from seller here-http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WARPSPEED-MAXIMA-EXHAUST-Y-PIPE-HI-FLOW-CAT1989-2001_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33631QQihZ019QQitemZ290133184008QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW. Would this result be okay and does a high flow CAT really necessary to have for hp gains. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

Can someone please tell me in detail what is torque and what is horsepower? Also how can an engine produce more torque in the pistons at a lower rpm than high rpm? How is torque tested? How is horsepower the most at 7,000 rpm rather than maximum? Wouldn't the engine be able to handle more at a higher rpm? Basically i jus want a detailed explanation of torque and horsepower and how then engine produces more torque at lower rpm and higher horsepower not at the redline?

Several mechanics can not figure this out.

My van pulls to the left everytime I brake. It drives perfectly straight when not braking. The steering wheel is also straight. 2-3 times when i brake it felt like i was sliding on oil-- real weird. My passenger tire keeps wearing down on the outside of the tread.

My father said to change the brakes and the calipers. So I did. It did not solve the problem. It still pulls real hard to the left. The rotors looked great. Even the old brakes i changed looked great and even.

What could be the problem?

Hi,
I really want a BMW, but can not spend a lot of money. There is one BMW 330i for sale on eBay. It was flooded with fresh water. Obviously I am interested because it may fall within my reach. You can have a look at it as well (please give me advice, do not come in my competition)

I am a student, and am willing to work on it, but TO AN EXTENT only. I would appreciate a professional advice. What are the chances of it being a good buy, easy fix, or for being a nightmare?
Thank you.
