The car idles real low when started cold. When the engine warms, the idle continually rises. I thought it was the throttle position sensor, because I could lower the idle by lifting up on the accelerator pedal-- It was like it wasnot going all the way down- the rpm would sit around 1200 to 1500- when the pedal lifts it goes to 750. I changed the tps 2 times- no change. I thought idle air control valve was bad, when i changed it the rpms shot up to like 2500 to 3000 and then slowly creep down-- real slow. So I disconnected the idle air control, rpms are normal, but the pedal thing still happens. I have no idea what to do next, have any ideas?

I see a lot of people saying that they think its better to put a higher octane fuel in their car that is meant for low octane. I know that is wrong and see all the anti higher octane people saying that the person is just throwing their money away. What about the effects to the car. Is there any damage to the car by putting in a higher octane than the manual says?

Okay just had my fourth factory radio go on my '05 Chevy Truck. I had already had enough when I got to number three, now it's on! lol

On all four units the lights on the front panel keep burning out. As a bonus the CD eject function is broken on this one as well.

I have suggested to GM and the dealer that they try another model of these POS Bose stereo's but they don't want to hear that.

Including this latest experience this will have cost me:
Over 5 hours of driving
Over 5 hours in the waiting room
More than half a tank of gas
Almost 3 weeks without a stereo

I Spent an hour debating this with GM today. I haven't even seen the dealer yet as I know what their answer is. "We can change it again" which is exactly what they told the GM rep.

Everyones answer is "we'll change it for you". Am I the only one that would consider this a problem? My dad has almost a 10 year old cd player in his dodge and it works fine.

Any suggestions?

So there isn't a section for "road test" so I guess it would go here. Anyway, I have my road test next thursday (april 5th) and I'm so nervous! This is my THIRD time going! 1st time I was too cocky and failed horribly. The 2nd time I went to another 6 hours of driving school (required here in NJ but this 6 hours = 12! cause I already went when I turned 16) and I practiced parallel parking for an HOUR and when I went to take my road test I failed the parallel parking and I knicked one of the cones coming out! :[[

How come I can parallel park on the street but not for my test!? I'm so nervous because if I fail again I have to wait 6 months to re-take it. I can't afford to wait that long as I just got a new job and with summer, I have no way of getting there!

Anyone have any tips/advice on how to make sure I pass this time?!

I'm going to a different DMV .. and with this one after you parallel park .. you have to K-turn out of the space! AH. I'm going to be practicing but ..

Hi. I have a Sea Doo jet boat, it weighs about 1600 LBS with the trailer if i'm correct, and I'm looking to purchase a car to tow it with. I used to have a Lexus ES300 and I put a hitch on that and had no problem towing it. But I no longer have the Lexus and I'm looking to purchase a cheap car for towing. I'm willing to spend max 2000 dollars, since I'm gonna use the car just to get to and from the lake on weekends. What would you car would you recommend? Thanks

I had my car towed and I only have liability so my isurance won't do anything and can't get involved, only reimburse the towing fee. The car is brand new, and when we went to get it, it has two big notches missing from where he picked it up at and the bumper is hanging down about 4 inches on 1 side. And they hit something with the back end because the black paint is gone and its got yellow going all down it and won't come off. The people who own it won't even talk to us about it. They are really scummy, and shady. They won't do anything. Can the BBB do something, or reimburse me? I have pictures, and all my reciepts, and people who inspeceted the car before this happened.

Sometimes, when I give it the gas , the entire car starts to vibrate. Is this something wrong with the fuel injectors , or maybe something else?

Should I bring it into a mechanic? If so, I just want an idea of how much it will cost ...
