A carburetor is a device attached to an autombile engine in which gasoline and air are mixed prior to being burned. A "lean" fuel/air mixture contains less fuel than a rich fuel/air mixture. Which type of mixture would result in the cleanest automobile exhaust? Why?

I have a new spark plug in and i do get spark, i shocked myself with it and thats how i know. i am using premium chevron gasoline(if that makes a difference). i sprayed starter fluid into the carbs as i was directed by a shop, and that didnt work. NO clue what to do next, lol. HELP!!

When I step on the gas, I hear a grinding at low speeds. Once I get above 40 or 50 I don't hear it anymore. But the grinding is unmistakable so I know something must be wrong. Any ideas?

I've heard a story before of pennies placed on the railroad track shooting out like bullets and possibly killing someone. Has this ever actually happened? I remember the neighbors putting loads of pennies on the track as kids and I've never seen it happen. Also, is it against the law, apart from the trespassing factor? Is there an actual charge for it? Can it cause any real harm to equipment?
