What is the rule for obtaining a Georgia driver's license when you turn 18 but never had a permit before? Do you need a permit? and if you do how long would you have to wait to get your license?

Yea... You have got to get a learners permit for 6 months and then take the real drivers test...And you will be drivin in no time...lol Hope You pass! (I failed my learners test the first time)! Oh (and if you fail the learners test you dont have to pay 10$ for a license until you pass the test)! Hope this Helps!

now you must take a driver ed class and you will have to at least had a permit for 1yr 4 months. well im 20 i got my licence at 16 and had to hold them till i was 17 and 18 is when i finally pass my driving test on the first try. so it varies by state to state but since i have georgia license, the same gonna apply to you since we in the same state.
