I have someone stopping by tonight to look at my car -they said they'd bring a deposit. How much should I ask?

my buddys car at school is still messed up, hes had new plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor, new distributor, new fuel filter, and catalytic converter isnt bad, hes put the best injector cleaner money can buy, and it still is missin out. could this be a sensor somewhere? or maybe the fuel pump?

Husband was injured in car accident in Jan 2007, serious injury to arm, finished with dr's appts. and physical therapy, ready to settle. How long does this usualy take, and how much is good settlement? All dr's bills and hospital bills have already been submitted. Do make a settlement offer first or let them and work from there?

One website estimated with dr's bills and lost wages, about $24,000-$47,00. Does this seem right? I was thinking about $30,00 because of the permanent scarring abd stuff like that but i have no clue.

This time I got really lucky because the gas pedal stopped functioning while I was driving, like 2 minutes after I exited the freeway. I wonder what would have happened if it died on me while I was going 65....

On my 1995 Ford Explorer, the plastic piece broke off that held the lock up so now the car isn't locking on the passenger front door. I was wondering if anyone knew what the part was called so that I could go to a junk yard and find out about it. I guess it latches onto the lock piece of the door.

I am buyin 2 kicker s15l7d4's and a hifonics bxi2006d amp. i am planning on wiring it up so that there is a one ohm load. i know how to do this because i looked a the rockfordfosgate website. what my question is is would it be noticable if lets say i got 2 amps and wired up the subs at a 2 or 4 ohm load. they are goin to be in a pretty big vented box. thanks

I failed my first driving test. I was really angry. My next one is about a week in a half. I messed up on the part I was most confident on... which was 3 point turns. I really wanna pass my next time, but i don't want to chock like i did the first time. I know im a good driver and everyone says i am too. Any tips on how I can 100 percent pass my next driving test.

My meter reads high, I have gone through two batteries in 4 months. I took the alternator off and took it in to advanced. they said it was good, and my INTERnal voltage regulater may be bad. I went to another shop to get a price on a alternator, they got one out and it said that particular type of alternator was externaly regulated by the cars computer.

Contrary to public opinion...

1. There is NO such thing as a zero-pollution car. To charge batteries, you must make electricity...which comes from a fossil-fuel belching
powerplant...hence pollution. Solar grids and batteries are extremely toxic to manufacture.

2. You cannot mfg a single item, not even a toothpick without producing pollution.

3. Be it ethanol, electron's, oil, or hydrogen, etc, don't be in a rush for this "alternative energy". Oil was once a nusance...then they found a use for it....and there goes the price! The same thing is happening to the price of corn...or "cheap electricity" Once something goes mainline, the price is going to be control by monopolies(just like today)

Electric car? We need to decrease the world population, that's the business at hand.

i have 1984 jeep cherokee n it have bout 400k mile on it,,,,,,,,it fall apart a bit but it still go!!!! it got fancy lether seat n 4 wheel drive,,,,,,,,,,it bit rusty n tire bit low on air n i not have $$$ to changer oil in couple year,,,,,but it still good!!!!!! it only thing hubby can fits into,,,,he not see steering wheel in hyndy accent no more,,,,,how much longer till it die????? i gots bout 300k mile out of me cutless supreme,,,,then it die in my driveway n i gots mad @it n i shot it with me guns!!!!!!!!!!!! why u think there R so many lites on jeep dashbord????? what they mean???

my car has been park on my drive way, dealing with insurer of the stolen car i have been told ,no claim can bee made because of RTA INSURER AND ARITCLE 75 INSURER, is there any chance to claim from insurance company of the owner of the stolen car witch damage my car? A friend of mine just lost her husband to cancer. Before he died, he leased a truck. He only had it for about a year and then he died. The lease was for a few years more. Due to the loss of her husband (and his income) she could no longer afford the payments. She gave the car back to the dealership before it got repo'd. Now, she just received a bill for $12k, saying she owes the remainder amount of the lease. The dealership is going to sell or lease the truck, so basically, they'd get double paid of my friend were to pay. She couldn't afford the truck then so how in the heck is she going to afford paying the 12k? (I should mention her name is also on the truck).

i had a renault 10 tons truck engine rebuilt , and it spin # 2 bearings , it was polished and re-installed , only to have #3 spin this time , new pistons and sleves, head and all connecting , and main bearing ,it was torque ,and all lifters was set . , now i am thinking of replacing the engine for a mack 250 , i have now in it a renault 711 i 6 cylinder.if any one have a mack 250 for sale let me know ps , thanks for your help

Will an air conditioner pull cold air from your house after all of the warm air is already pulled out of it? I was told it is impossible for an air conditioner to pull anything but warm heat.

i got the car stuck and of course tryed to drive it out but when i got it unstuck it said on thes speedometer that i was going 10 mph,( i was prolly going less) my car had no power and the battery is fine cause i just changed it all my liquids and oils are fine. now when you try to start it it chokes but doesnt turn on all the way and i dont know what can slowly kill my car. please help me.

Please, in detail, tell me where I would find the fuel filter, the spark plugs, and the fuel pump on a 1989 honda civic. If you use technical terms please explain. I am new to this stuff. I don't know what things are called yet. Hondas are little pieces of crap. I hate them.(just to let you know.)

The vehicle is driven, registered and insured by me but my Ex has the loan on it...and vice versa, I have the loan on his car. We have about $4000 left on each vehicle, but I bought my SUV used and its too old and has too many miles to qualify for a car loan and I can't seem to get a personal loan for that much. The easiest thing to do is just switch the cars, but I LIKE my SUV...its well maintained and clean...his car, well, he doesn't maintain and take care of it.

We're on good terms so he's okay with the situation we are in, but he has recently asked if it was okay that he contributed more on the loan I have so that his car would be paid off faster so he can get a new car. I really don't want him to pay it off and have control of BOTH cars...because the deal was that once a car was paid off, then we would send the other person the title.

Any Suggestions?
