Yes you can, but you will also have to make or buy custom motor mounts, change the transmission/mounts and customize the drive shaft. You may also have to modify the sheet metal under the hood.
Good Luck :-)

why would you want a ford motor in your Chevy? Anything is possible but not always a good idea. If you do this some Chevy purist is gonna clamp your test tickles in a vice and leave you for the vultures.
You can get all the necessary components to install a Chevy v8 into your s10 and they are very respectable, plus you will still have your tickles in the end

you can basically put any engine into any car you want as long as it fits in the engine bay. There are adapters that can adapt most any engine to any transmission as well. So if you want to use a dodge transmission hooked to your ford V-8, in your Chevy S-10 and then run it through a Nissan Driveshaft to a Jaguar rear end all it takes is planning and maybe a welder.

Yes you could swap out your engine for just about any engine as long as it could fit into the designated space. I would do performance upgrades to your current motor however. It would be a lot easier an fun to do also!!

You can put pretty much any engine into any car that has the chassis to hold it, provided you're willing to do all the necessary (and expensive) modifications. They put a Skyline engine into that 67 Mustang in FF2 Tokyo Drift. Buddy of mine used to have a Pontiac 400 in his GMC pickup.
