I am considering buying a new car and I have been told that there are disadvantages of buying cheaper imported cars on line. Is the insurance more, is the selling price less when need is required etc? The on line companies that sell these cheaper priced cars state that the vehicles are sold as British recommendation.

Where I live we are assigned certain parking spaces, that are right in front of the door to our houses. For the past 2 days someone has been parked in my spot, and they don't even have a permit to be parked in this lot. This same thing has happened to many people in my complex and the landlord has come down and booted the car. I have called the landlord four times, and even spoken to her once face to face and she informs me that there is nothing she can do. Can I legally call a towing service and have this persons car towed?

I recently totaled my 2004 Honda Accord. After the current lein is paid off I will have $12,000 from my insurance company to put down on a new car. I may not put it all down but I need to keep my payments low right now. I am definitely getting another new Accord. Do I tell them I am putting that kind of money down? Will it help me get a lower price? What is the best way to go about this?

I've heard that some models of Suzuki trucks/car are immune to timing chain/belt break. Has anyone know if this is actually the case?

It's been raining pretty much nonstop for the last 48 hours and I found a puddle about 2" deep on the floor of the passenger side of the car this morning. I keep my car outside. It's a '93 Buick Skylark. There was no puddle last night when I got home from work. I have had the car only 2 weeks now. I have never seen it do this before.

Essentially I've been shopping around for new tires. I went to sears. They sell a Falken tire for 62 per tire. I don't know much about Falken. However when you do the mount and balance it comes around to $333. Mr. Tire seems to have better deals. They don't charge for balance, mount, waste disposal fee and valve stems. But they sell the following tires. Runway Tires (never heard this name), Kelly tires, Bridgestone, Continental. They have a deal on Yokohama where when you buy 3 you get 1 free which would be cheaper then the sears falken tire deal and I beleve yokohama is a better tire right???? I essentially am looking for a tire that last the longest and has low noise nothing speical. I'm tight on money....

I bought 4 new tires in Oct. 2005. The place that I bought them from installed them and did the wheel alignment. I have had them rotated twice since then but my husband thinks they are worn more than they should be. The warranty states that the tread life is usable tread depth is the original tread depth minus 2/32nds of an inch. How in the world do I figure out what this means and if my tires are truly worn? Please don't say to take it back there because of course the tire place is going to say it's not. I need to know how to figure this out myself.

I have an1985 Chevy pickup, it has the 8 foot bed. I took the engine and transmission out of my ElCamino and put them in the pickup. The tranny from the ElCamino has a short tail piece. I had to have a new drive shaft made, they used all new tubing and put in both new U-joints, the new shaft is 6 inches longer. It was also balanced. I think they did a good job on it, they specialize in this sort of thing. I put a new seal in the tail piece and after a few miles it starts to leak. The last time I think it only lasted 100 miles. I thought because of the extra lenght I need two shafts with a carrier bearing in the middle. Any Ideas on why you think it may start to leak so soon????? I buy my seals at NAPA, I think it says Chicago seal on them, Chicago something anyway.
