Holden is the Australian division of GM (the yank chevs, same company)
commodore is the 4 door version of the pontiac gto that was bought off of holden a couple year ago

I'm not familiar with Holdens, but I've had a Hyundai Elantra for five years, and have never had a single problem with it. You get a lot of bang for your buck with Hyundais, and the warranty is great.

As for that other guy's comment, there's a difference between North and South Korea, and it's American car companies that are ruining themselves. Which would you rather buy, a Hyundai that is affordable, and runs great with a great warranty or a Ford that needs to go to the shop constantly. My last car was a Ford, and it went through transmissions like nobody's business, not to mention all the leaks in the engine. I actually had to have it towed in when I traded it in because the transmission died while looking for a new car. I guess you can buy American if you want to support companies who rip you off. That's their own fault.

Well...I assume you are way down under (most people up here in the States likely have never heard of Holden) My sis ounce had a Hyundai, and it was a piece of junk....but I have heard they have been slowly improving. You did not specify whether you are just moving yourself or if you have a wife and kids with you.
With only the 3 choices above,I would choose #2. #3 would likely not be bad,either.....but I would avoid the Hyundai (if you want something reliable).

Fyi: Volvo is owned by Ford....LOL

..and I drove a Dodge and never had any problems......My first car was a Chevy and I put that thing thru hell and back and it still came back for more. Today I drive an Avalanche....and Love it!!

American made is not neccesarrly bad...(Toyota and Nissan and many others have plants here) So be careful who you are bashing, people....that Japanesse car you drive may have been screwed together somewhere other than Japan......
