I need refernces to written studies and/or (preferably California case law) which show and justify that minor rear-end collisions, with small amounts of auto damage can produce longer tha expected and more costly medical treatments

I wrote a week or so ago and asked about a 1973 Chevy 4WD that had a problem. My husband is working 7 days a week, he has too many houses to remodel- he's not a mechanic or good at diagnosis. I want to pay someone, we need the truck. I know of 3 people (one is a mechanical genious and unemployed-Tahoe job market...) anyway; It's cold out- 28 degrees to 45 and I do not have a garage to work in. Between this site and myself and friends, we came to the conclusion the Chevy may have jumped time or the dist. is bad. I was thinking $25.00 per hour, we pay for the parts.
Is that enough or not too much? I want it done right. Hypothetically speaking, also, should or if I pay up to $30.00 an hour and buy parts, is it still cheaper than a dealer or a licensed shop?
ALSO! approx. how long SHOULD it take for timimg belt replacement or distributor replacement, in hours or days?

I am keeping control of the clutch and the accelerator when moving off, but it just seems to jerk and jump until the car reaches about 10 MPH and I have to accelerate more to avoid conking out. Once I change to 2nd gear and upwards the car runs fine....its a 2002 dynamique model. (PS - My dad has tried it and has the same problem).

Hi, I purchased a 88 1500 chevy p/u manual and there is nothing to even hint how to remove my dash, I tried the library also with no positive results, is there anyone who could point me to a manual or blow up of some kind? Reason I am removing the dash is for 2 reasons, have the dash painted the same color of my truck and replace the heater core while I have it out, with some help I think I can do it, thanks everyone for reading, Sandra

I am financing $13,759 on my new car at 15.75% (this is my first new car). I have made 3 payments on time at $335, and my new balance is $13,559. I haven't yet heard a response from toyota financial about this, so I was wondering, does this sound right? It seems to me that my balance should be lower than that. Can someone explain this to me?

One of my roommates, who did not have car insurance (I did not know that, otherwise I would not have let her drive my car), was driving my car when she hit another car in an intersection causing quite a bit of damage to the other car and a small amount to mine. My parents pay for my car and my insurance, and will not pay for the damages to the other car or my car because I was not the one driving. What are the courses that this could take? Will my parents be sued? Is it inappropriate to ask my roommate who was driving my car to pay for the damages?

My car was stolen off of my drive but i had no M.O.T. but I had a vailid tax disc. Am i still covered with my insurnace?

I didn't think you had to tell your insurance about the M.O.T as it was parked on my driveway.

Anybody know?

I understand that water would come out after using air conditioning. But I see water coming out underneath every time I stop my car, even I just move the car from one spot to another in the same parking lot. Is this normal or something needed to be fixed? Thanks fro your help
