I live in Oregon and there is a lot of black ice, some snow, and rain. I have looked at a couple different types like studless snow tires or studded snow tires. I don't know the difference or which is best. If you have experience or knowledge on this subject let me know. And Iet me know what questions I should ask the tire people and which brands are the best.

My father does not have car insurence and he rent cars to other people one of his car got into an crash and the police charged him for not getting an insurence. I don't know how did he get charged for not getting car insurence for him self?

I recently bought a car from a dealer in Dallas. He sent me a reciept for title application, along with the registration sticker. I haven't yet recieved a title or license plates.

Dallas is in a county 100 miles from my city. Do I need to take the reciept and sticker he sent me to my local vehicle registration office and get new plates? Never done it this way before.

What up I want all of your opinions. I am looking to buy a muscle car that has looks and is famous and power. Right know in my mind I have the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 HT stuck in my head and it is number 6 on top 10 muscle cars, I guess that is a good choice. When I get the car I am putting it up to probably 720 HP engine from GMPP and from there it is going to Tokyo, Japan and it will be worked on there. Also the car I make will be featured as one of the main cars on the next Fast and The Furious movie [not Tokyo Drift, one being made after that]. So this is seriously important. My back two dish style subs are now both blown. I didn't have an amp, and now they're blown and I don't have any bass. I can't take that! I was told that you could cut some wires and switch them around, and hot glue them back in place and hot glue everything else back in place and I could get them working like new again. Is there something like that I could do or do I have to get new subs?

Are they good cars? reliable? What is the average price? What is their depreciation value like? any other reccommendations?

What are good features of it? safety? gas mileage? etc.
I;m asking about the Mazda because I read about it in one of my bf's car magazines and it rated pretty high.

I am going to buy a car in like 5 months and I will be just out of college and into the real world. I need something reliable and not too expensive. Everyone says a civic but EVERYONE has it.

I really like the Lexus IS300, Acura TL, Corolla S (to give you an idea of the styles I like) but too expensive!

I just purchased 2 tires because one of my rear tires was flat and not repairable. My car is front wheel drive and when I asked the tire center about putting the new tires on the front, he abruptly said "It's best to keep them on the back" with no explanation. I've always thought the best tires should be on the front in a front-wheel drive vehicle. Am I wrong?

Keep in mind some of these cars get 300 miles to the charge and can go upwards of 70 miles per hour. They do not require any gas whatsoever and are incredibly easy to maintain (all they need is a tire rotation and fluid refill every 5,000 miles). Stations for refueling can be placed in convienent locations just like gas pumps. The price is comparable to any car on the market, at $200-$500 dollars a month. I recently saw the documentary "Who Killed the Electric Car?" and was struck by the fact that even though every electric car owner wanted to continue to drive the car, and even raised enough money to buy out the leases and purchase every single car, GM was adament about confiscating the cars and crushing them. I'm not own for conspriracy theories, but it seemed like a real waste to take a fully functioning car and crush it for no apparent reason. So I was wondering, if you had the opportunity to own an electric car would you? And if not, why?

Hey I am going to be getting my first car in a few months. I was wondering what kind of cars were good for first ones. I would rather have a car.....but I will settle for anything. My car was hit by a drunk driver. I have uninsured motorist coverage and after three weeks, my vehicle was inspected and I was told I was eligible for a rental car. The car was determined totalled. The insurance company wants me to settle and they are offering me $500 for my dependable car that I have kept maintained and has been faithfully running for me over 10 years! I am insulted. I can not replace the car for $500 and I feel as if I am being punished for someone else drinking and driving. Does anyone know what my next step would be? I've told the insurance company to mail me the information to review.

I have an 2002 Diesel Ford Mondeo Saloon. In the last few days, the boot won't open unless I physically use the key. It should open with the remote, the button beside the lock or the interior button. There is an indicator light on my dash showing a door is open when all doors are closed. I've changed the battery in the remote and oiled the boot lock, but neither has helped. I used to hear a solenoid switching sound when I pressed the button beside the lock on the boot lid but this isn't happening now. Does anyone know what could be wrong please? (The air bag light is coming on intermittently too). Thanks
