What up I want all of your opinions. I am looking to buy a muscle car that has looks and is famous and power. Right know in my mind I have the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 HT stuck in my head and it is number 6 on top 10 muscle cars, I guess that is a good choice. When I get the car I am putting it up to probably 720 HP engine from GMPP and from there it is going to Tokyo, Japan and it will be worked on there. Also the car I make will be featured as one of the main cars on the next Fast and The Furious movie [not Tokyo Drift, one being made after that]. So this is seriously important. Here are links of how the 1970 Chevelle looks like if you haven't seen it:

my advice.
go with an older corvette.
the fact that they're a classic and weigh considerably less than the chevelle, nova, trans am, camaro, charger, cuda, mustang, dart and any other muscle car you can think of. I would also suggest a four on the floor shifter with a 4speed manual. It's screams classic american muscle and will def. make the car more fun to drive. the corvette's an easy car to work on and stands out more than these other vehicles, even though the chevelle has the "under the hood" room you're looking for. (id also go with a 3:73 rear gear, just my advice from racing all of these vehicles all of my life) sounds like you've got a good start and idea though!

Dude you are so right on with the 70 Chevelle! That's one of my fave cars of all time. However, I have to say that I had a 72 pontiac grand prix once that blew the doors off nearly everyone. It had a 455, 4 barrel, v-8 and it was the absolute bomb. I got in more trouble with street racing back then!! cops, cops, cops........oh boy. those were the days!

So my answer to you is a 70ish Pontiac (even the Trans Ams are bucklin to the bone), or 70ish Chevelle SS. You can't go wrong either way! Hey, fast & furious is the drool, ain it?

I would have to go with a 70's Plymouth Hemi Cuda. Awesome car with street smarts. This car can be popped up to whatever horsepower you choose. The Hemi is a reliable power plant and the car is awesome in handling and ability!
