For instance, do they somehow induce a shimmy at a certain speed? I've rented two cars, same model and year, same company. They both began to shimmy at approximately 70 mph. It felt like an out of balance wheel at the right front, and I'm curious if this is intentional on the companies part.

I can appreciate the need for a higher wattage than normail rear lights but do they really need to be as bright as brake lights?
I find that being blinded behind a car with its fog lights on to be a real hazard.

"Thurgovie. The Thurgovian police discovered that a 60-year-old driver has been driving for 32 years without a license. At one point the driver had a leaner's permit, but he never managed to pass the test. The driver was discovered during a routine check at Rickenbach, Thurgovie, Switzerland." (today's Le Matin Dimanche, p. 2)

I wonder how many drivers are on the roads without license or -- by being unlicensed -- valid insurance. Another reason to have uninsured motorist coverage mandatory, n'est-ce pas?
