Any time you are operating a motored vehicle, you should ABSOLUTELY, NEVER, EVER have a single drop of alcohol.

Now if you're going to teach someone to drive, first this person needs to have their drivers learning permit. They will then need a person with a valid drivers license, and be over the age of 25 who is SOBER. If you aren't sober, you aren't considered a valid driver. If you want to sit in the back seat while you're completely smashed, but with someone over the age of 25, sober, with a valid license.. then by all means, go right ahead.

Most states will require you to have a learner's permit before you can ever get on the road. There is no specific waiting/learning period if you are over 18, but you can't legally practice for your drive test until you have the permit. Just go ahead and get the permit, do as much practice as you need, then schedule your drive test. No biggie. And good luck!

yes,it is probably the most important thing you can teach them legally they cannot operate the vehicle without a licensed driver in the front seat next to them if a problem occurs , I say that person should be sober

I wouldn't try to do that.

To be in a car with a driver on a learners permit one has to be a legal driver. If you are drunk you aren't a legal driver.

It would be best not to test that rule.
