I wonder how many drivers are on the roads without license or -- by being unlicensed -- valid insurance. Another reason to have uninsured motorist coverage mandatory, n'est-ce pas?

Oui. As late as the 1960s a driving licence was not required in Belgium. Not surprisingly, Belgium still has one of the worst safety records in western Europe.
I once knew a mechanic who maintained police motorcycles in a provincial city in Australia. When the motorcycle was fixed, he would test ride it then ride it to the police station and they would take him back to his workshop in a car or on the motorcycle. He never had a motorcycle licence.

I think there are still alot of folks out there. When i was a kid (years ago) on the farm we all drove.Had too. But we grew up learning to drive tractors at age 8 or 9. Also i think there are some elders who no longer have the privildge to drive out there.. Have a fun day

I'm on my way Ive not had one for going on 13yrs now been caught 3 times the worst was a 10 day jail sentence

I have not had a license in 16 years been arrested twice for the non license but I dont care!
