I have a couple rust spots on my car that I have matching paint for from the car dealer, and it's requiring the rust to be primed before using the paint. Is there special car paint primer or can the same primer be used as you use on your walls inside your house? If there is such a thing as car paint primer, would I be able to get it at AutoZone or a place like that?

My son is looking at a 1999 Lexus something which is a 6 cylinder. I told him that I do not think that the car runs on regular gas, it must use premium. Am I right? It is a factor in which he did not consider.

you keep this from happening, after I get the new one tomorrow, and rig another way of mounting it?

The blue book trade in value on my 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT with 25k miles came up as 11,500 under Good Condition. Then on NADA it came up as a similar price with the options I have and even gave me +$625 for low miles. The NADA was also around 11,500.

I went to a Honda dealership to see what they'd offer....and they initially offered me $7,500 and then when I told them about the blue book/NADA they basically told me those vales are worth nothing. They said the last guy who brought in a Tiburon go this much...I think it's a rip off. Their final offer was $8,500 but I still couldn't accept that =(

2000 Mailbu was running great. Oil light went on last weekend. Lots of banging and knocking. Oil dipstick was full. We replaced the oil pump (big project) and the knocking sounds are still there. My dad thinks it has something to oil pump drive. We can't figure out how to remove the oil pump drive... is it under the manifold? Is it behind the engine? Thanks in advance for any help. (And, yes, I do come back to read the answers.)

If for no other reason the because it's bigger then you. I absolutely hate it when I'm pulling equipment and some idiot pulls around around me just so they can turn off into a driveway . I should just start running into the inconsiderate SOBs. 12,000 lbs of farm equipmnet Vs. 4,000Lbs of car. Doesn't take much to figure out who would win. Farm equipment has just as much right on the road. Of course I could drive through the ditch and take out your nice sod, mailbox, driveway reflectors. and everything else you may have.

I have a 2001 Honda CR-V SE. A couple of months ago it started idling low and a couple of times on the freeway it was jumpy...
Soon after that, the engine check light came on. I went out and purchased an OBD-II code reader and SW... The code I got was P0172 - Fuel Trim Too Rich (Bank 1).

I did a freeze frame and this is what I got:
Short Term Fuel Trim - Bank 1: 1.6%
Long Term Fuel Trim - Bank 1: -16.4%
Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure: 80kPa
also some other readings (speed, rpm, load value, coolant temp, etc... which don't seem to important)

1. Does anyone know what causes the fuel trim to be too rich?
2. Does anyone know where I can get the specs for all the sensor readings for the car so I can see what is in spec vs. out of spec?

Your help will greatly be appreciated...

I have a 1995 Dodge Dakota with a 318, bored out .030, 9.5-1 compression, lightweight TRW pistons, balanced and weight matched Eagle rods, stock crank, balanced rolling assembly, Crane Compucam 2000 mild cam, 1.6 roller rockers, heavy valve springs, Mopar double roller timing chain with a spring-loaded slack adjuster, Mopar M1 intake manifold, soon to be getting a opened-up throttle body. its a 95 so it has the higher pressure fuel pump. It also has Pacesetter headers, dual 2-1/2 inch exhaust, Mopar Performance ECM, Accel coil, huge gauge champion truck spark plug wires, and double platinum plugs. My question is with all that nifty stuff, what size injectors should I use? I have been told the stockers are 19lb/hr, thats whats on it now, but I have been told the 24lb'ers are a good upgrade for those motors, but I have also been told that the 24's are only good up to 350 hp, or something. I figure maybe 30's, but I want a second opinion or two. Those things are not cheap. Any ideas?
