I don't think that there's a certain age to stop driving, but I think that once a person reaches 60 or so, they should be tested annually to make sure they're still capable.

A lot of people say that old people should stop driving since they could be a moving accident. But I think as long as they can still see and have pretty good reflexes they should be able to drive. For your grandmother, she should get off the road before she endangers other people's lives.

They need to make a law in every state that after you turn 65 you should have to take a driving test every year. There are a lot of old people out there driving that need to be taken off the road, they are just as dangerous as the 16 yr. old out there speeding. What age is too old to drive?, I really don't know, thats why this driving test is needed.

i really don't think there is a cut off point on driving,i have seen and know of some really good drivers that are over 80 years old, especially here in Tennessee where i live at,and if you think about it who has the right to say to them your to old to drive,i know i wouldn't want to be the one to have to do that, i do think that there should be a test that people should have to pass to get there license renewed after a certain age and i think that would be better than someone deciding for them, this way if they didn't pass the test they wouldn't be able to drive anymore, and they wouldn't be mad at all of us,,,someday we,ll be old too,i hope im still around at 80 to drive a car, good luck,i hope this help,s.

yeah I think it shouldn't be about the age ! some young people drive a lot worse sometimes ! but as you said if she drives under the speed limit she might be endangering herself especially with no seat belt on !so I would talk to her that she has to follow the rules or not drive ...

It is hard to say a lot of older drivers are safer than young ones because of experience an not using distracting electronic devices as they drive, I have been driving for 56 years without a ticket or accident, but in your grandmothers case it sounds like she is an accident waiting to happen.

There is no set age at which someone is too old to drive a car. There are people who are 35-40 who I wouldn't trust with a wheel barrow. Then there are Geezers who are unsteady drivers at 75-80 years.
It also depends somewhat on where people are driving. Mayberry is one thing. NYC is another.

I don't think age is the key but it's a matter of mental capacity. Some people can drive til they are 100 and others are done by 65.
