Oh my. You may have spent all that money for nothing.
First you need to sit back and say ok, just what is my my S10 doing.
It could be nothing more then the fuel pump pressure is low and not supplying the truck with eneff fuel to get it to run.
Have tou run a fuel pump pressure check?
How about that fuel filter changed it say in the last 2 years?
How about that timing belt or change? Have you changed it or even looked at it latly.
Stop spending money on things you dont need. Ask yourself just what it is doing. and then look in that aera.

Hard to say from the info provided as don't know if it is running bad all the time, stumbling, dying, or running hot, etc. Those years and engines are bad about head gasket leaks, but other than that please post more detailed info and I am sure we can get to the heart of the matter and figure out what it is. You have all sorts of sensors, and an engine computer as well as the usual regular old parts that can give troubles. Detail the problem and we'll help you fix it. :-)

Run a fuel pressure test like the other people said, and also check the EGR system, 4.3's have a habit of getting carbon stuck in the EGR valve, and making the car idle rough and stumble until it gets up to road speed.

if you have done all this...run a compression check...it's possible you either have a burnt valve or a bad camshaft. A compression check will confirm weather this is the case.

Hope this helps.
