If so how would i or someone be able to check the vehicle history on a older car if they have a shorter VIN number, My 1988 linocln has a 17 number an letter combo unlike my 1977 buick has a 13 number an letter combo.

did the military have to wait for FAA clearance? Shouldn't the FAA have immediately grounded all flights - at least the ones that were in the air around NY?

we need to know what if any thing we need to add to get the bull dog RS1100 and by pass 791 to start my 04 trail blazer. The lights come on but it will not start. I sure would like to get some kind of ansewer to why it wont start to. the trail blazer has a passlock 2 on it the by pass modular did not have a green wire to concet it to what ever it is suppose to go to. So i sure hope some one out there can help us Thank you

What's the reasoning behind having a switch to turn the transponder off?? And if there *is* a legit reason, did it have to be where anyone in the cockpit could access it? Couldn't it have been placed like in the cargo hold or something? Or somewhere that the plane would have to be on the ground to turn it off? Don't give me those "I don't know" answers for 2 points - if you're that desperate, you need professional help more than yahoo answers.

When I step on the gas, I've only heard it when I'm in park, there's a squeaking noise coming from the engine, it sounds like rubbing your finger on squeaky clean things...like teeth or glass. I'm not too worried about it, but does anyone know what it is? Could it be a belt?

Looking to purchase first bemer, skeptical so please help me out for those knowledgeable. I was looking at an 03 porsche boxster, and i found a nice used one for 30 but i backed off bc i do not know the maintainance level and i heard there are alot of payments to keep that car up and i want a car thatll last me a long time and not be a headache as well. I heard certain cautions with just washing the soft top and havintg to drive it regularly or else batter will fail so i moved on... i came across the bmw and liked the new 07 coupe bc of the new warranty which covers all maintainace and i test drove and fell in love, i was wondring if i wait a while how much do yuo think the price will deppreciate for a used one...and how long wil these cars last, above 100k and after the warranty is over will i have alot of trouble, does anybody have bmw assist, how is that? please give me any insight or advice, thanks!

I have a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and twice within the past couple of days, the steering wheel has locked up WHILE driving as if I had turned the vehicle off and removed the key.
