I've got about £5000 to spend on a car in the next few weeks. It's got to be in a reasonable insurance bracket as I'm 22 and only have 1yr no claims. It should be fun to drive but usable on the motorway too. I was thinking of a VW Polo GTI 00-02 but insurance is just too much. Any suggestions?

Have contract pending to work in Florida for 1 year. Do I need to get a Florida driver's licence? Also curious about auto registration - I may have my CA car shipped to Florida in order to get around - How long before I would need Florida licence plates?

I have '97 pontiac Sunfire. White smoke started coming out of tailpipe. Doesn't seem like I have the power I am supposed to have. Not overheating. There is water? beads on some hoses. Could my water/coolant be leaking? Would that cause it to smoke. Just changed the starter yesterday. Could something be hooked back up wrong. Just started yesterday. Afraid to drive.

As much as some like to swear airbags are the way to go, I don't feel a untility vehicle used for off roading needs this. I suppose if it were a primary means of transportation on major highways this would be more practical.

I have a 300L air tank w a 2 cyclinder air comp & electric motor.
I have no idea when the oil was last changed on the compressor and I'm in a dusty environment.
Should I replace the existing oil w/motor oil (thats all I have) or would I be better off leaving it be?

Are there any others out there that have gone thru a mud puddle the serpantine belt fall off? I swear....this has got to be a design flaw of the 1999 dodge caravan! Try looking for a diagram to put the stupid thing back on and you're stuck in a place on 4th of July and find someone to put the sucker back on.

I am now convinced that tomorrow if I make it home from this ordeal This van will be traded in for something new!!!

I am seaching for a perfect "10" vehicle.

I am a college student with limited budget.

I wish I could buy Japanese models like Toyota or Honda, but I do not have enough money for them.

So I would lay my eyes upon the other brands, such as Dodge or Hyundai.

Based on my own reaseach, I found Dodge Neon and Hyundai Elantra would be good choices, based on the price, quality, etc.

Well, what I credit the best is reliability.

Please tell me the followings:

1. Are Neon and Elentra good?

2. If they are, then are they reliable?

3. If they are not good, then what are their problems?

4. Is there any other good brands with decent price you recommend?

thank you, thank you
