Yes, they can, if not removed or cleaned immediately!! They sure can spray stains on the paint & can fade the colour!!! CLEAN IT IMMEDIATELY!!!

The "smashed face" of the person who did it might remove the paint! (But anyway),No,the eggs will not harm the paintjob. Running the car through an automated carwash will do the trick.

Yes, some paints are made from eggs.
Thorough cleaning and some rubbing compound 'may' save the finish. Be sure to re-wax where you work. Simonize or Blue Coral are both good.
Careful with the rubbing compound, as it removes paint.

if anyone ever eggs your car , get the egg off asap. The protein and amino acids will eat all the way through the paint film on the vehicle, and will need to be resprayed

If you leave them there for too long, yes.
It's the same than with bird crap. If the car is left unwashed for too long, the acids in these substances begin to damage the car paint, it might get bleachened, the color might change, etc.

just make sure it doesnt dry up, or you will have a pain in the *** time getting it off, Im sure it will destroy the car paint.
