I am 17, I live in California and I've made $8700 in 2006.
My parents have me as a dependent.
I know the threshold for the dependent is $4400 in order to be tax free?

Now I have one of my payroll sheets in front of me and I remember talking to my boss back when I started working about cutting some of my taxes from my paycheck because I was expecting to earn less than the $4400 threshold. I got the "FED WT" cut out so I havent paid any of those directly from my paycheck. I have paid the FICA and CA DIS in full.

Is there a calculator or an easy way to find out how much more (or less?) I owe to the IRS?

Thanks

all 100% of it. On earned income, not gift or inheritance
...Via Mutual funds?
...Bonds?
...Real Estate?
...Foreign Bank accounts?
...Expatriate to another nation
IRS does not need my money any more, I no longer want to be on their mailing list or want to pay taxes anymore.

House is worth about $400,000, at the very most. He skipped town and now has an assortment of nasty, dirty relatives living there. Cars on blocks, barking dogs chained in the yard, no jobs, potty-mouthed kids. WHY am I paying taxes like a CHUMP while the IRS lets these people live for free? Why won't the IRS sieze this house?

I just got my Tax Returns and I was just thinking about how 2 years ago i owed the IRS money for something that I screwed up on my Taxes. It took the IRS 2 years before they notified me stating that I screwed up on my taxes and that I owed them a certain amount of money with interest.

Now I ask the questions...Mr. IRS where is my interest at for when you held my money all year? The IRS holds our money all year and at the end of the year they usually owe you money if you claim 0 or whatever. I am just interesting into finding out why we owe them interest if we don't pay them on time. But when they owe us money they hold it all year and don't pay us a penny interest?

I always get a nice Federal refund but I have to pay state more and more each year. My husband and I both deduct 1 and file married. I know it might be better to claim 0, but why is my Federal refund so nice even with claiming 1, and I'm paying state so much?

I entered wrong numbers on Schedule D, (Capital Gains and Losses) under (e) on Short Term and Long Term Capital Gains and Losses.
To do my 2006 Tax returns, first I have to fix 2005 problem.
I used TurboTAX web based utility on my 2005 Tax.
Any advice?

A former employer of mine refuses to pay taxes and told me that he did not want me to fill out a W-2 to show state and federal levels what and how much to take out of my weekly $300 check. I continued to persist about it and he finally withdrew $55 from each check... even though he did not know any of my tax information or have me fill out anything saying as such. When I quit six months later, he confessed to me that he had not been paying any tax at all and offered to pay me $1000. I turned it down and then just this January I informed him that I was expecting a W-2 from him based on a prevoius question that I had earlier asked on this service. My question is, on line 1 & 16 (wages, tips, other compensation) he has $6000, on line 17, state income tasx (missouri) he has $100... I've been told that is $47 short and I have to pay for it.

Since he mishandled this situation, can I have him pay this amount? If he doesn't, can I take him to small claims court or is there an IRS form?

I formed a corporation at the end of last year. It hasn't made any money yet because I haven't lanuched my business yet. However, I did deposit money from my personal account into the business account. The corp. is privately held.

Do I have to file any paperwork to the IRS or pay any taxes?

Hi All,

I am preparing the 1040 for my aunt and she received a 1099 from her employer. I understand she has to pay all the "other" tax but just wondering if she can deduct her mileage? If not, is there any other expense she can deduct to lower her direct misc income? Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Best Regards,
Allen

We moved into the house we currently live in a little over a year ago. I am not expecting much in my tax returns, but I am noticing on my W2's that city taxes were not taken out. How do I find out how much I owe in order to avoid being audited? I don't want to pay someone to do my taxes, I hardly worked last year.
