House is worth about $400,000, at the very most. He skipped town and now has an assortment of nasty, dirty relatives living there. Cars on blocks, barking dogs chained in the yard, no jobs, potty-mouthed kids. WHY am I paying taxes like a CHUMP while the IRS lets these people live for free? Why won't the IRS sieze this house?

He is paying his property taxes. I don't know if he's on a payment plan with the IRS. $400,000 is just so much to owe, while the rest of us pay and pay.

I can't tell for sure, but I suspect that he has this gaggle of relatives living there to scrape together the mortgage. I know mortgage companies don't wait years before forclosing. My confusion is, why do our federal government let someone just NOT pay so much income tax, withoutaking their house?
