If the preparer didn't already file them electroonically, and you were supposed to mail them in, then yes, you can just redo them. But not getting a large refund doesn't mean they did them wrong, maybe you just aren't getting a lot back this year. Did you question it when you were at the preparer's office?

If they already filed them electronically and what you have is a copy of what they filed, then you'd have to file an amended return, a form 1040X. But you can still change them if they're wrong.

If you paid someone to do your taxes, you should take them back to that person, sit with him/her and see that it is done right. Don't pay them any more than what you have already paid. YOu can take them to someone else if you wish, but I would not. I would make them do them right. As long as you have not mailed anything you can do either of these. Good Luck.

as long has you have not filed your taxes then , yes, you can do them over. If you have already filed then you can look into filing an amended return.

Getting back very little doesn't mean it is wrong. However, if you think it is, take it to a REAL CPA, not to H&R Blockheads or one of thosse places. They are universally run my morons &/or accountants who couldn't get a real job.
