okay, so I just turned 20 years old and have beed a full-overtime student for over a year up until this semester. My parents lost custody of my 2 younger sisters and I when I was 17 and have not made any sort of an attempt to regain custody yet. I have lived with my fiance and his family for the past 2 years. I have no proof that I supported myself from a job but I do have reciepts from groceries ect... The first year that I was in school I filed for financial aid independently and got the max amt of money from the state. This year I only got hope and have been deemed to have no financial need because my dad claimed me on his taxes. He had no right to -yes I have looked into the laws. So now I have no money to pay for school much less a decent parent to help me so what do I do to make sure that the IRS will make him ammend his return. If they do he will have to pay back money he got for claiming me and I can get my academic grants back!

My husband has been on worker's comp the whole year. I don't know if they take taxes out on that or not, he doesn't really get a paycheck stub. How is this going to effect doing our taxes? This is the first year I've done them, and I don't want to screw up! lol. Do they usually take taxes out of WC, or do I just not have to worry about it?

I have got $8500 on W-9 from the company which is acquired by another company now.

I could get in touch with same person in finance in new company to check about my 1099 form status.

This person says that all people left and hard to trace about the same.

What should I do, and how should I file my taxes?
