Short answer is yes. Longer answer is if you didn't live with your parents, or whoever is claiming you as a dependent, you may no longer qualify as a dependent. If you aren't a dependent, you will probably get a refund. However, if you are you may not owe any extra taxes since they are usually good about getting all their money directly from your paycheck.

when i was a student and living at school, my parents still claimed as a dependant. i got most of my taxes back. you should be getting taxes taken out of your check, though....
as long as you are paying in each paycheck, then you will most likely not have to pay and will probably get a nice return check.

You can't be claimed as a dependent because you made too much. Yes, you must file a tax return and pay taxes.

Someone else claimed you as a dependent? It is possible if you didn't have any withholding taken out of your checks.
