Yes, but if you lose the original they can charge for a copy of it.
If you are talking about years prior to the 2006 Tax year. They don't have to supply copies of them.
For Years prior to 2006 you can get a transcript of them from the Internal Revenue Service in 7 to 10 days by mail, or if you have access to a fax machine they can be faxed.

If you are talking about 2006 and have not received your W2's you can call and verify that they were mailed by your employer. If you don't have them by Feb 15th Call the IRS and file a W2 Complaint, the IRS will advise you how to file without them

Employers are required to prepare W-2s for the government and to furnish a copy to you. There should be no charge. Be sure you update your address with your past employers so they can find you.

yes they are required by law to have them for you.If you havent recieved them yet make sure you call them asap
