All my life I have wanted a school in the arts and so many times I have gotton close and something happens either with the place i'm using or money . I feel like I have a gift that can help change the lives of million of children and help them to grow up to be better, stronger and stay off the street. The arts changed my life and I know the way I teach it, it can do the same for so many children and young adults out there. I 'm starting to feel now like maybe this is a childhood dream because I keep facing so much opposion and I want to start my family now and I thought by the time im 30 I would have established this school and can devote time to my family. But im 30 now and all I did was have a bunch of almost there's. How do you no when to give up?

Could you get product information from everything in your house that had a bar code? Is there a way for some business entity with a large investment to create a system and a database that would allow the average person to inventory all their posesions that had a bar code? (I'm thinking it would be nescessary to compile a large (user compiled) database with different retailer data (because of different retailers)). Also, is there one scanner that reads all bar codes?

In case your wondering, I am thinking of an ebay-style idea, but more local based.

Hi I'm 18 and would like to start establishing some assets, an idea I had for a while was to buy a vending machine that I could buy drinks/ snacks from a company, then stock it up and see if I could pay a local business a monthly rent for me to sell drinks/ snacks there. Then eventually buy more and grow my collection of vending machines around town.

Anyone have any advice they could give me? and maybe some other ideas?

for a backgrounder i'm into radio during my younger days. i love music and meeting interesting people. im not a seller, i tried life insurance, real estate and networking but it didn't work. at this point im aiming for a customer relations kind of work but i know for one that they prefer younger people for that kind of job. i like to work again because i still want to grow and help with the financial needs of my family. thanks in advance.

I was thinking of creating a a website for my own personal use - business related. I want to get the right advice about investing money. Does anybody have any information about good investment vehicles. I took my children to this play place and they advertise that they only charge $17 for 4 hours of play and they always pro-rate by hour. So..when I went to the cashier, I wanted them to play for two hours (that means $4.25 per hour/person..that would only cost me $17 in total)...but then she (cashier) told me that the owner decided to charge full price and if I pick them up after 2 hours, I get my money back. I reluctantly agreed and paid her $34. Then...the two hours later (it was 9:33pm), I went to the same cashier and told her that I am picking the kids up and I want my refund for those 2 hours that I didn't use. She proceeded to tell me that she couldn't give me refund because it was after 9:30!!! There was no written or verbal chage in this "refund policy". We used this place last night and there was no such policy and tonight they do!

I am furious! Are they allowed to change the refund policy as they pleases without notifying their customers

A longtime boss at a college at used to work at, is giving me a bad reference at positions I am applying for. Currently, work at a education sales job, trying to get back into a true college position. Boss I had for 14 yrs is giving me a bad ref. We had a rough last couple of yrs together-money-and other issues.
